WREC Attends Pasco Disaster Preparedness Expo

Disaster Preparedness Expo!

On Saturday, WREC employees from our Bayonet Point and One Pasco Center offices, including District Managers John McCarty and Ricky Gude, attended the Annual Pasco Disaster Preparedness Expo at Safety Town in Pasco County. They handed out information and gifts to achieve a simple goal – making sure attendees had the knowledge and awareness to stay safe. Umbrellas were the most popular gift given out, which were needed later that afternoon as we finally received some much-needed rain! The highlight of the expo was a severe weather panel discussion including the chief meteorologist from Tampa Bay 28, Denis Phillips. A big ‘Thank You’ to all participants and to Pasco County Emergency Management for inviting us and hosting the event.
