WREC crews recently worked on Monkey Island in Homosassa setting poles for new habitat enclosures in the ongoing makeover of the island. Thanks to a partnership between Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative (WREC), the nonprofit group Historic Monkey Island (HMI), and the community, renovations are being made to this well-known and popular site.
