Security Deposit: New residential customers with satisfactory credit as reported by a third party credit bureau will be exempt from security deposit requirements. For others, a deposit equal to two-times the highest bill or $300.00 (whichever is greater) may be required. Other factors may be used in determining security deposit requirements. Commercial deposits are based on estimated usage (two-months' billing) or a load sheet provided by a licensed electrician.
In order to process your application, it will be necessary for us to complete a credit check. The credit check will not affect your credit score. If you decline a credit check, it will be necessary for you to visit one of our district offices with two forms of identification; one must be a government-issued picture ID.

IMPORTANT!
A non-refundable service connect charge of $40 is required for connection or transfer of an existing account. A new service connect charge is $65 and a temporary service is $125. A $5 Membership fee is applicable for new members.
- Your service application will not be completed until you are contacted by a WREC customer service representative and have paid the required fees.
- The main electrical breaker must be in the OFF position for WREC to connect service.
