Outage Notifications
You can easily stay informed during outages by enrolling in text or email notifications through the WREC mobile app or at wrec.net. After logging into your account, simply go to Settings and choose which alerts you’d like to receive—such as planned outages, outage updates, or power restoration. Online users can access these options through the left-hand menu to enable the features they prefer.

Save Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative’s contact information to your phone by scanning the QR code. Once saved, you’ll have WREC’s phone number readily available to report power outages by texting "OUT"—making it quick and easy to let us know when your power is out.
By saving WREC’s contact, you can also sign up through the WREC mobile app to receive outage notifications and other important messages sent directly from this number. These text alerts keep you informed about outage updates, restoration progress, and other service‑related information.
