Today WREC crews from the Crystal River District installed an osprey nest platform with a web cam on Monkey Island on the Homosassa River, as well as four panoramic view cameras below the nest platform. They then installed a rolling anti climb device to prevent the monkeys from being able to climb to the cameras or the osprey nest. This is all part of the Historic Monkey Island Restoration Project that WREC is involved with.
