Light Up Navajo Update!
Today our crews had the opportunity to help energize homes for members who have waited years - and in some cases decades - for power. One elderly couple we met alongside Superintendent Kevin Hays had been waiting more than 20 years to receive electricity at their home. During an interview, the husband became emotional, overwhelmed with gratitude as power was finally brought to their family.
Moments like these are what make this mission so meaningful. There’s something special about Light Up Navajo that impacts everyone involved. Seeing the gratitude from families whose lives are being changed forever, combined with the incredible beauty and culture of the Navajo Nation, leaves a lasting impact on your heart.
Tomorrow, our crews will come back together to work on what’s known as the community project. We are looking forward to working side-by-side again and sharing the experiences and stories from the last several days.
