WREC Helps Clean Local Waterways Near Kings Bay

Last week, WREC was proud to partner with the Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO), Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Sea & Shoreline, and Waste Management during the Save Our Waters Week to help clean local waterways near Kings Bay.

Working together, volunteers and crews removed nearly three tons of debris and trash, helping protect the natural beauty and health of our community's waterways.

We are grateful for the dedication and teamwork of CCSO, FWC, DEP, Sea & Shoreline, and Waste Management. It takes strong partnerships and a shared commitment to environmental stewardship to make a lasting impact.
