Lighting the Way on Navajo Nation!

Eighteen WREC employees recently took part in the Light Up Navajo VII Project, bringing power - and hope - to families still waiting for electricity.

This incredible crew didn’t just show up… they made history. Together, they successfully energized 18 homes, the most any crew has accomplished in the history of the Light Up Navajo Project—all while representing WREC with the largest crew to date.

The work was not easy. Long days, rugged conditions, and challenging terrain tested their determination - but with every pole set and every connection made, they were fueled by one purpose: bringing electricity - and opportunity - to families for the very first time.

Nothing compares to the moment when a home is powered for the first time. It’s a reminder that the work we do truly changes lives.

We were also honored to have our General Manager, David Lambert, and 7 of our 9 Board of Trustees join and support this mission - witnessing firsthand the life-changing impact of bringing light to those who have waited so long.

Thank you to our dedicated employees and our Board for supporting this meaningful effort. Together, we are making a difference - one home, one family, one community at a time.
