WREC Sends Mutual Aid Crews to the Florida Panhandle

Our mutual aid crews have arrived!

The 59 WREC employees who departed early this morning (group photo pictured here) have safely arrived in the Florida Panhandle and are currently meeting with Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CHELCO) to review safety protocols and onboarding procedures before beginning restoration efforts following Hurricane Isaias. They are eager to assist our fellow cooperative and help restore power to affected communities as quickly and safely as possible.
