As part of Florida’s Cooperative Rapid Response Mutual Aid, on Friday WREC crews headed out to Escambia River Electric Cooperative in the Florida panhandle, who had over 10,000 Members without power, and Talquin Electric Cooperative, who had over 14,000 outages. A line of severe thunderstorms tore across North Florida that morning, causing extensive damage and outages. WREC provided 19 trucks and 49 linemen and personnel to assist with these outages over the weekend. We can’t thank our linemen and personnel enough for their dedication and support to WREC and their fellow electric Cooperatives.
