Recently, WREC held its Pre-Apprentice Orientation, a three-day training course where Journeymen teach Pre-Apprentices the importance of safety and educate them on tools, equipment, and techniques. The course covers safety rules, proper use of PPE, and handling materials and tools for both underground and overhead lines. Participants also learn about locating faults in lines, transformer maintenance, and operating equipment like digger derricks, bucket trucks, excavators and more. This comprehensive program aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of our new employees.
